Club History
Formed on September 6, 1957 under the name West Geauga Sponsors, the club began its mission to promote, organize, encourage, and support the extra-curricular activities of the students of the West Geauga School District. The original trustees were Spencer Maurer, Ed Wallis, and Dorothy Sanders.
On June 10th, 1971, under board members Frank Gabriel and Abbie Lou Peterson, the board agreed to change the name to The West Geauga Athletic Booster Club. Memberships at that time were $50 (gold), $25 (silver), and $10 (regular). Throughout the years the club has organized many activities for the betterment of West Geauga, including: football concessions, Wolverine 10k and 5k runs, and weekly bingo night.
