The West Geauga Girls Soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a 7-1 victory over visiting Chardon on Thursday evening.
The Wolverines opened the scoring in the first four minutes when freshman Cara Borz scored off a pass from Sarah Troyer to make it 1-0. Less than two minutes later, Faelynn Beckrest connected with Adison Cook to make it 2-0.
West Geauga had a 2-0 advantage at the break before the offense exploded for five goals in the second half.
Cook added a pair of goals as did Ava Borz. Gia Oriani scored on a penalty kick and Brooklyn Osolin added the final goal.
Morgan Demaske faced five shots and saved four while the Wolverines got off 16 shots.
West Geauga will host Madison on Saturday at 1pm.
