The West Geauga High School Boys Soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 victory on the road over Geneva at SPIRE on Friday night.
Freshman Ben Mackin started the scoring at the 31:00 minute mark when he connected on his first career goal set up by a pass from Nathan Kercher.
Kercher got back in the action at the 36:00 mark with his first goal of the season when he finished a pass from Owen Puletti to make it 2-0.
Mackin added his second goal of the night at the 58:00 mark to make it 3-0.
Gabe Grisez stared in goal and saved all five shots he faced.
The Wolverines are back in action on Saturday, August 20 when they travel to Padua for a match-up with the Bruins. JV will begin at 5:00 PM with Varsity to follow at 7:00 PM.
