The West Geauga Boys Cross Country team finished fourth out of 35 full teams competing at the OHSAA Early Season XC Meet held at Fortress Obetz in Columbus on Saturday.

The boys were paced by Danny Kearns who finished in a time of 17:00 and Matt Dienes who came in right behind at 17:04.

Grant Congdon ran a 17:58 while Chris Whiting finished in a time of 19:12. Adam Fousek finished in a time of 19:24 and Ryan Downs and Van Peck finished with times of 21:14 and 21:49 respectively.

Fortress Obetz is the site of the 2022 OHSAA Cross Country State Championships.

The boys team will compete this weekend at the Riverside at Night meet hosted by Riverside High School.
