The West Geauga Girls soccer teamed earned their first win over visiting Mentor in 10 years on Monday night a 2-0 victory over the Cardinals.
The win snapped a seven-game losing skid against Mentor for West Geauga.
The Wolverines opened the scoring in the 23rd minute on a Megan McGinnis goal that was set up by Holly Jeunnette.
West Geauga held a 1-0 lead at the intermission.
The Wolverines scored again, this time in the 62nd minute when Frankee Flesher found the back of the net on a pass from Natalie Pistone.
West Geauga goalkeeper Ashlyn Drayer made five saves in the win.
