The West Geauga Wrestling team was represented by freshman Brian Denamen who qualified for the OHSAA State Wrestling Championships in the 144 pound weight class.

Denamen qualified after finishing fourth at Districts and winning the Sectional Championship.

He fell in his opening match at State against the number two ranked Wrestler in the State and his comeback effort in this second match fell just short.
