The West Geauga Girls Soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision on the road against NDCL on Wednesday night.
The Lions scored in the 28th and 38th minutes to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
West Geauga got on the board in the 70th minute on a goal from Amelia Zaffiro on a pass from Adison Cook to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Goalkeeper Michaela Platt made five saves in her first game in net for West G.
West G and NDCL tied in the JV contest 1-1.
The Wolverines will open the home portion of the schedule on August 22 when they host Shaker Heights.
