The West Geauga Wolverines varsity soccer team opened the 2024 season with a 3-1 win over visiting NDCL on Friday night.

The Wolverines opened the scoring nine minutes into the contest when Faelynn Beckrest found the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Amelia Zaffiro notched her first goal of the season off a corner kick find from Adison Cook to make it 2-1 at the break.

Freshman Lexi Bryan scored her first career goal in late in the second half to make it 3-1.

Senior Goalkeeper Michaela Platt made four saves in the win.

West Geauga will be at home on Tuesday in a varsity only match-up against Geneva with kickoff scheduled for 6pm.
